ISO (International Organization for Standardization) is a global alliance of national standards bodies (ISO member organizations). The work of developing international standards is usually carried out through ISO technical committees. Each member institution interested in the theme of the established technical committee has the right to send representatives to participate in the committee. Government and non-governmental international organizations that liaise with standardization organizations also participate in this work. ISO works closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters related to electrical standardization.
The ISO 4892-2 standard is a testing method that specifies the method of exposing a sample to xenon arc light to create climatic conditions (temperature, humidity, and/or wetting) when the material is exposed to sunlight or light in the actual end use environment. ISO 4892-2 shows various methods for demonstrating the corrosion effects of plastic components through the use of ultraviolet testing.
